It has been a long journey for me back from debilitating chronic fatigue and Seb’s
commitment and holistic approach to my recovery exceeded that of the numerous medical practitioners I sought out for support. Focus on my needs and physical limitations put me on the way to balanced and steady improvement starting with gentle massages up to strength and endurance training... and LOTS of laughing!! Being off work for several months on sick leave had no doubt tested my confidence but Seb’s resolve was unfaltering and was a major factor allowing me to return to full time employment and ultimately a healthy outcome. More recently a knee injury that spanned the time he was on leave and numerous frustrating physio sessions was promptly brought into line after our first
Session back!! Cannot thank you enough for your continued support .
I have had a GP who did nothing to help me deal with hip pain except say I will need a hip replacement one day. Offered no suggestions of improving my life via natural means. Gave up on me.Found an osteopath who did nothing to improve me from week to week. He told me “I can’t do anything to help you anymore”. Started going to a chiropractor every week. Couldn’t go any longer than a week without having pain return. Saw her for approximately 8-months. Years before that was seeing another chiropractor almost every week for months & months. Well…… I haven’t had any need or desire to see a chiropractor since beginning sessions with Sebastian. I definitely feel he paid attention to all my problems with scoliosis & hip pain etc & listened, which none of the other people did. He never told me I couldn’t be help, like the others did. I trust him.
I joined up the gym in February 2015. From the start I was put in touch with trainer Sebastian and I can honestly say it was the best thing that could have happened. I was
extremely disappointed in myself for where I had let my weight get to and starting out was daunting but Seb offered a lot of encouragement and is always so positive. He really wanted to make being in the gym feel comfortable. I hadn’t been successful with previous experiences at other gyms and I am so happy to say that this time around has been different. Seb has such a wealth of knowledge and the techniques he has taught me are invaluable. I wouldn’t have known where to start on my own and learning from Seb from the start has enabled me to learn how to do exercises the right way and with the correct technique. The programs he created are always a challenge but are achievable unlike what I had been given in the past elsewhere. Today I am about half way through with where I want to be. The weight is coming off, I am stronger, happier and healthier than I have ever been and I feel great. It never feels like I am paying for a service with Seb, he actually genuinely cares about enabling me to achieve my goals and because of his encouragement I believe I can do it.
The reason I started P.T is because I have got the knee pain during previous exercises. The pain was serious impact my normal exercise and even during walking. I have been taking joint relief pills and wish they could help me to solve the problem, but unfortunately the pills did not help me as much as I thought.
After I have received the knee recovery sessions which run by Sebastain. He helped me to rebalanced my hips and taught me how to stretch my leg muscles in order to release the pressure on my knees. After that, Seb gave me a well planed program that helps me to change my bad posture. At this stage, I don't feel pain on my knees during walking and light exercise.
I haven’t had a fitness experience like this in the past. I once had minimal self confidence due to being so skinny and for years I attempted to gain weight and definition using different means, but was always unsuccessful. I used to think the gym was a place to work out when you were already fit, and if you weren’t, people would wonder why you were there. Similarly, I thought personal training would be of no real benefit because trainers were only interested in the business side of things. Since I’ve started training I’ve realised that’s not so; 8 months ago I would not have thought I could have achieved what I have. Personal training has increased my confidence by tenfold, both inside and outside of the gym; has made me a lot fitter and stronger; I have been able to change my body to achieve my goal; my day to day motivation has increased and I feel happier and healthier. Also, I’ve learnt a lot through receiving fitness education during my sessions and am
supported and pushed to go that extra step during workouts; which are both important to me. I look forward to all of my training sessions because I don't only achieve all of this while having fun, but I like to see what I can surprise myself with next.
After pushing myself too hard running, I suffered a knee injury which required
surgery. The doctor who diagnosed my injury told me flat out that my legs were too skinny and it would not have happened if I had more muscle support around the knee. He also told me I would not be able to run long distances again for a very long time, probably no more than 1 km. After my surgery and once I could walk again, I joined the gym which is where I met Seb. He was knowledgeable about my injury and what exercises could help fix me. In no time my knee was better than ever. It is now about a year after my surgery and for the first time since then, I just ran 5 kms non-stop without the slightest pain in my knee. I have no doubt that this would not have been possible without Seb, not just for his thorough training but for his generosity with his time and his encouraging, positive attitude.
